no.lecter is still alive. see the smile on minerva face. if i not mistaken she have a magic that can make she appear and dissapear out of nowhere or make something appear using her magis ( in fairy tail 283, she made happy appear from her hand out of nowhere, and maybe she's caught and hid happy somewhere and then make happy appear at her hand using her magic.and in the nick of time when sabre tooth boss try to kill lecter,minerva use her magic to save lecter. fairy tail is never a sad manga.

reading what was said about minerva's magic i have to agree that most likely she transported him somewhere, though not for good intentions. I feel like she had Sting do that on purpose so that she can lead the guild.

Gemma killing or attempting(Minerva most likely used her magic to save Lector) to kill Lector is a plot device so that Sting can unleash his true power and be a challenge for Natsu in the day 5 battle hence why Minerva was smiling.

Still Minerva is truly sadistic. No way should she enjoy her father being gravely injured or even killed even if she wanted to make Sting stronger.

I was expecting a little more from this chapter, but it was still awesome. I think that the daimoto enbu will not end, like the chuunin exams in part 1 of naruto. Something huge is gonna happen and all the teams are gonna have to work together. My guess is that somehow the dragons are going to be revived. IMO that would be so bada$s... what do you think?
