Itachi was a part of the Uchiha clan and they were the most revered in Konoha. He was going to be the clan head one day. How is he poor? And ugly, no not really. Sasuke is the ugliest thing I've seen in this manga. Both in appearance and personality. It's also funny that you called him ugly when Naruto mistook Itachi for a taller version of Sasuke in pt1, upon first seeing him. You must think that Sasuke is hideous too then.
