[Gimp] Failed Smudge Attempt

This is my first try to do a smudge tag in GIMP. It looked very bad when I finished smudging so I just left it like that... I didn't have patience left to continue working on so it's unfinished.

But I really need CnC to improve + Anyone who is doing smudge tags in GIMP I desperately need your advice. xD

I like the composition and I'm interested in the technique you used (teach me? No? Okay )
I've seen it on a tutorial but I've never tried it.
I'm wayy too lazy to CnC right now, so forgive me >_>

I was mostly experimenting
Meaning I've done lot of inventing
I didn't follow tutorials or such
But I used pain tool maybe too much

I still don't have PS and its sad
Today I was so mad
Why do we need money even for that
I am now really sad
