The fact of the matter is Minato destroyed Tobi's plan that night, and after their battle tobi was forced to flee which in my eye's is exactly the same as being defeated. I agree with you that Minato was forced into suicide by Tobi's actions but the result is still the same. Minato defeated Tobi in that battle, just because he died doesn't mean he lost a more simple way of looking at it is Minato won the battle but lost the war so to speak since Tobi is still around.

as i said before and will say for the last time, minato did not win a fight he died in and so did his wife. i never said tobi himself killed minato so don't put words in my mouth please. I have no favs i just enjoy the show as a whole

*******! Tobi did not kill Minato's Wife. He just released the 9 tails which drained most of her chakra but he did not ****ing Kill her.

I Wont say that Tobi killed Minato/ Kushina , cauz they never fought one on one. the best conclusion we can make is that Minato defeated Tobi (or rather severely injured him) in their fight, We cant say who is more powerful unless and until they have a full fledged one on one fight( with no other worries of saving or protecting anyone )...Though i would go with Minato if they ever have such kinda fight...

Minato didn't die because of Tobi, he died because he chose to sacrifice himself for the sake of naruto and that goes the same for kushina.

Sorry I'm late, but this whole cause and effect idea is complete stupidity. Sure, if Tobi hadn't attacked the leaf with the nine-tails, Minato would have been alive. But the fact is, when Minato fought TOBI, he won. And when he fought KURAMA, he lost, but he could have survived if he hadn't decided to seal Kurama inside of Naruto. Even though Minato fought Kurama BECAUSE Tobi brought him, doesn't mean that Tobi won. It means that Kurama won. End of story.
