facebook vs. the base

Yes I know, some vs thread lol. But I love the base just as much as kel loves orange soda. I would rather be on narutobase arguein with random strangers about naruto arguements then I would being on facebook talking to my idiot friends about nothin. The posts on this site actually make sense I don't see anyone on here posting random love lyrics. Anyome agree with that? Eh?

I would have to agree with you. Although I just joined this site, I have been more active here than I have been on my Facebook account in weeks. lol And I would much rather be discussing anime, video games, and other random topics with people on this site than to try and think of what to talk about with my "friends" on Facebook.

they are 2 completely different things... yes they are both forms of social networks but FB is a customized system that can be modified at the will of the creators of the site. On the other hand Versuvio can't just add anything he wants to the Messageboard or forum. It has to be within the boundaries of the Bulletin which is designed and created by Vbulletin Solutions Inc. So V or any Adminstrator on the site can't add 'Chat' like facebook or any other features that Vbulletin does not offer. On the other hand Facebook can do whatever they want with their site. They can add and take away anything at will. In my opinion they are just 2 different things. I use facebook to talk with my close friends and use NB to discuss manga/anime/news, RP sometimes, and get in contact with other Anime/manga fans of the world.

Overall I prefer NB but my real life friends have only FB accounts so I can communicate with them only via FB, which means that to me - from this viewpoint- the two sites are equal.

I honestly only have mine just in case my friends lose contact with me, like losing their phones or numbers....that way they have some sort of medium in between.
