Facebook started by recommending friends of friends or people that went to schools etc I went to, ok I get it. Then they started recommending work associates that I never deal with outside of work, that's weird how do they know I know them? Well now FB knows who I'm with in real time, I was with my buddy over the weekend and his buddy came down, never met the guy before, he was never listed as a "people you might know" on FB then today, boom, he's a recommended friend. The ****? I'm glad I gave this fight up a long time ago or this would really bug me out.

The same happens with me sometimes but it's because I have the FB messenger installed on my phone, this app has the access of all my Whatsapp contacts and then it puts them as a friend recommendation on FB. If you have no mutual friends with these people then it's most likely they visited your profile.

They're so slow ....and if I'm not mistaken, it gives you the "option" to sync all your information.They always make a big deal out of everything, so paranoid.

I deactivated mine for a long time, reactivated it and got banned for posting a picture of Pepe, so I will never use facebook for any reason

I deleted my facebook maybe 1 or 2 times, got bored and made a new one. Guess I found a reason for it...for entertainment or just to "keep in touch"...

The thing is they could have recommended him any number of times over the years but it wasn't until a few days after I actually met him, for the first time. It's like they took note of the gps locations being together for a fixed amount of time.
