Brave Timothy Eli Thompson was born on March 4, without any sinus cavities or nasal cavities – a condition so rate that it only has a one in 197 million chance of occurring.
But according to his mother Brandi McGlathery, Facebook took down a photo of her son that was being used by a pro-life group to increase awareness of his story.
The ban was lifted after Facebook users complained, and the story was shared an astonishing 30,000 times in just six hours.

Is anyone else crying at the thought of the kid having a cold, and not being able to breath... Too many sad thoughts...

Do they know if the condition is safe or not? What's the mortality rate? Will surgery be done to open his nasal cavities?

I mean, I get the point of the thread is boo Facebook, but c'mon, tell us about the baby!

I feel sorry for the baby and the parents, as myself being a father as well.

Feeding would be difficult for the time being and no binky to keep the baby calm.

And the risk to suffocate when the baby gets a cold, etc.

So pathetic that FaecesBook allows pictures of ISIS beheadings, but take down pictures of an innocent child.

This wouldn't necessarily be the fault of Facebook though, correct? They have over a billion users with over 300 billion pictures. That staff cannot manage all those pictures, so they heavily rely on the report option of an image. That means the image was most likely removed due to a high number of reports on the image, meaning it was the viewers who had it removed, not Facebook. Facebook can obviously review it after a complaint and remove the bans, however, it will take time to respond and remove the bans obviously again due to the mass quantity of users, pictures and complaints they receive daily.

If anything, this family needs new friends, not blame Facebook. It was their friends who reported the images, resulting in the bans.
