He lost his Gudou Dama's, EG the Senjutsu of the sage, almost immediately, and he's been using Rinnegan Techniques ever since.
He uses The Eyes of the sage

"What about obito?"
Not his original Eyes, so he couldn't use the Rinnegan to it's full potential. Instead, he beat everyone up with Gudou Dama's. And of course, his eyes were nerfed by Plot.(Admit it, Juubito would be unbeatable with Kamui)
He uses the Senjutsu of the sage.

"What about Hagoromo?"
I was talking about Important Characters, not Walking Floating Plot Devices. Of course he uses them both.
