Extent of Kimimaru's real power?

Well, as we have seen, Kimimaru took on Lee and Gaara. Powerful genin but nothing too special. From the looks of it Kimi would have won if he wasn't sick. He controlled Juugo who is the original wielder of the Curse Mark. His bloodline limit is definitely impressive.

So I want your opinions on Kimi and what would have happened if he was healthy at the time and still alive now. Would he have stopped Sasuke from kill Orochimaru and ultimately changing the story line?

Well, the only reason Orochimaru didn't choose Kimimaru for the new body host was because Kimi was ill. So if he was healthy, Orochimaru would have taken his body instead of searching for the Uchiha. That, would in turn change a lot of things.

Healthy Kimimaro would probably be low-Kage (Kakashi/Gai) tier (he'd probably be near the bottom of that tier though). I'd say sick Kimimaro was jonin or high jonin tier.

ok i will admit im a kimi fan but im also willing to give credit where its due, u said prevent sasuke from killing oro, so at that time he would not have had MS let alone EMS, also we have no idea how powerful kimimarou really was, i for one believe that he would have prevailed over sasuke at the point sasuke was trying to kill oro however when he got MS i think he would beat kimimarou

sasuke when he fought oro would lose to kimi. Oro would of beat sasuke like nothing if he was healthy. i think oro now can hold his own against sasuke if he is healthy.

if kimmimaro became grown and healthy and trained he would be one of the strongest ninja is the manga. His body took the pressure of gara sand burial and lived and he can produce as much bone as he wants. If he got hit with amaterasu he could just push it away with his boned cut the bones off and make new ones. im not planning on going into to much detail but kimmimaro would own sasuke

The more people post in favor of Kimi the more i begin to agree. In the Kimi's flash backs it shows him as a child solo'ing what seems to be a large fighting unit. That's on par with young kakashi, Itachi, and Sasuke. Prodigy status right there. If not, higher. Which is very likely. Considering he seemed to have had large amounts of chakra, and a devastating bloodline limit, he would definitely be a major factor in the current events.

Yes, I know what you mean. He has a bloodline limit that exceeds even the Uchiha IMO. Using bone growth at that rate..which is harder then Gaara's absolute defence could go a long ways...Considering he was very ill when he fought Gaara's absolute defense. Kimimaru could have been/should have been one of the strongest shinobi of all time.

I couldn't agree more. He also possessed a speed that gave Lee trouble. It's amazing how he was just killed off that way..
