Who is better? Deidara or Gari

Deidara is a good long range explosion style. And doesn't need to fight close range. But will lose if he is attacked hand to hand.

Gari is a good close range fighter. One hit at close range could end the fight. But will probably lose if attacked long range.

Which one is a better explosion style user?

Deidara I'd say. Deidara could evade him via his clay dragon.

I do not see Gari being able to close the gap against Deidara,so I say Deidara is more effective with explosion release.

I'd say Deidara takes this. Clay spam from long range ftw.

Deidara
but tbf Gari doesn't require anything to use for his jutsu where as Deidara does, and without clay/enough he can be in a disadvantage asap.
But if Deidara has enough then hands down, he can fly and use his clay dragons to shoot missiles from above.

If Gari had a long range jutsu, I'd say him. The problem is he doesn't, that we've seen. So Deidara wins.
