If anybody it actually wondering how did this happened:

It happened because:
Tobi sent out several chakra receivers which impaled the Eight-Tails and began to bind it. With Naruto wielding a Rasengan comes into close-range of Tobi, the masked man sends out another stake which seemingly dispels the clone. As he is faced with a Tailed Beast Ball, Tobi noted that it was slow-moving before making himself completely intangible in order to phase through it. Now in the other dimension completely, Tobi is shocked to see Naruto there, and realised that Kakashi must have warped the clone away and not the Rasengan. With no time to react, the clones slams a Rasengan into Tobi's mask, breaking it.
