Explanation of why Guy's final attack is Night Guy and not Night Dragon

So, many people thought that the final attack was Night dragon or Midnight Dragon. But it turned out that it was Night Guy.

Here are the reasons for that.

First reason is the fact that night comes after evening. So, morning, daytime, evening and then night. Before, name of attack was time of day was and a beast. But Night Guy is a symbol of Guy's youth coming to an end.

Second reason is that, at least in English, Might Guy sounds similar to Night Guy.

And the third reason is that the strongest attack from Guy should be attack starting with night. Many expected that it would be the strongest beast. So, they assumed it would be Dragon. But the strongest beast is Guy, even sometimes called Konoha's Green beast.

There are probably other reasons as well.

So, Night Guy is the final attack of the strongest beast.

guys attacks are based of times of day and animals. his final attack was literally a dragon yet he called it something else entirely.

The attack was called Night Guy, but there was a part of it where he screamed RYU which means Dragon - then it took the form of a dragon with that last rush

I thought it would be Twilight Dragon, Twilight comes right before Night and we would assume that Morning = Life or Youth, while Night = Dead. But doesnt matter I was wrong.

Gai used it with a very small amount of chakra left, plus an extremely weakened, exhausted body. At full strength I'd say it would've been 100 times more powerful. Plot protected madara from certain death

In the last chapter we saw Gai's new technique: 昼虎 - Hirutora (Afternoon Tiger)
And based in your previous technique: 朝孔雀 - Asakujaku (Morning Peacock) and your Kuchiyose (Turtle/Tortoise).
On this, we can conclude that the Gai's techniques are based on 4 Chinese Guardians.
