So there has been a lot of confusion about the note *********** posted at the end of chapter 627, which stated
"Naruto will be on break next week. It will resume in the Double Issue 22-23."
So allow me to clarify some things:
1. The contents of the WSJ magazine are not doubled, contrary to popular belief. We have never gotten 2 chapters of Naruto in one week, and probably never will.
2. Next week, only Naruto of the big three WSJ mangas are on break. One Piece and Bleach will still be released. This is only a break for Naruto, not a holiday break in Japan.
3. A 'Double Issue' is something that is found 4 times a year (during holidays) for the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. One magazine is released and is meant to last for 2 weeks. So, if there is a Double Issue one week, the manga will be on break the following week for holidays. Again, I repeat, DOUBLE ISSUE DOES NOT MEAN 2 CHAPTERS OF ANY MANGA.
So this is how things will go:
- Next week, on the 17th, Naruto will be on a break but One Piece and Bleach will still be released.
- The following week after that (the 24th) we will get a chapter of Naruto. HOWEVER, this is one of the yearly Double Issues so Naruto will be on break the following week due to the GOLDEN WEEK of May.
- The Golden Week of May lasts from April 29th - March 5th in Japan so there will be NO NARUTO on the 1st May. This is the 2nd week of the Double Issue, the week where we get no new Naruto chapter due to the holiday.
As sad as it is, Naruto will be on break next week, then we'll get a chapter of Naruto (628) and then Naruto will be on break again for holidays. I hope this cleared up any confusion...we are not getting 2 chapters of Naruto :x
