To begin, I know I'll probably be getting flak from a lot of you saying, "No that can't be right, Sasuke and Naruto are yin and yang, if that were true they wouldn't be equal," blah blah blah.
But think about this for a second: maybe Naruto has the power of Creation of All Things and Naruto just has the "rinnegan."
One it would make sense as the child of prophecy to get IMO a better powerup (although we haven't seen neither's full powers yet) than someone who Hagoromo feels he needed to appease in order to prevent more hatred.
It would make sense as the successor to the sage, even if in a different body.
Perhaps the Rinnegan in Sasuke's possession is leveled with the Creation of All Things. Perhaps not. If you think of all the powers of Hagoromo being split in two between Naruto and Sasuke, maybe's it's just that Naruto got the better end of the stick (still speculation).
BONUS: maybe naruto can completely heal guy, reform his legs and hands, and regrow his shattered bones :snick:

Sasuke might still have yin power, or at least that's what seems to be his rinnegan's power. It's just Naruto has both yin and yang. Just as Hagoromo said he took the chakra of the ten tails and created the nine beasts from it, Naruto similarly says. "I took part of Kakashi and then..."
