Well you have to remember back when Naruto first went 4 tails and Sakura was healing him and talking to Yamato, yamato was going to say i can tell you love naruto but naruto came too. In the first shippuden episode she was checking Narut out and blushing. Now the better question is who is better for naruto. Yes Hinata loved him from the start but how have she helped naruto grow? And don't use the saving him from pain because 1) pain wasn't going to kill him and 2) Naruto was pinned down, meaning he could easily gathered natural energy to go into SM and breakout.
Sakura actually is good for Naruto because she knows how to handle him and knows him more than hinata. Back when tobi kicked naruto into pond hinata freaked out while sakura said it's going to take a lot more than that to take out naruto. Also in one episode naruto thought to himself that he should stop acting like an idiot in front of sakura, this means he's going to be more mature because of sakura (so she doesn't knock him out lol). Plus he's going to go for the one who's like his mom, and that's not hinata but sakura.
Yes Yamato tryed to say that,but he could have been wrong(wich he was),fruther more Yamato didnt know Sakura and Naruto long enough by that time he tryed to say that,but if you only watch that part it seems fine.
But i sure you've seen Sakuras confession wich was false and Naruto himselfe has seen right through the lie,he saw that Sakura doesent real love him as a love interest.
The other thing if Hinata hadn't interfered the Kuuby would have been extracted and Naruto probebly dead.
And Naruto couldnt control his chakra,because Pains chakra disturbed his and that is esential for the Sage mode.
And btw how can you breakout with your arms and legs pinned on the floor.
And Sakura handles Naruto pretty bad,more like a five year oldxd by screaming,hitting him(yes parents used to do that) and insultin him(like idiot,moron ect.)
