Explain to me how so6p is "god"

I understand he faced the juubi alone, but he did not defeat it. He sealed its charka just like Minato did to Naruto. We also haven't seen many techs from him, and people are ranking him in the god category. He died people, gods don't die. He also was the first to do chakra and ****, so at the time people would have seen him as very mystic.

Hashirama was considered a legend, he wasn't but he ranks top 5. So i don't understand how someone who we have never seen fight, be considered god.

Thats like saying Call of Duty is the greatest game ever because of its sales. CoD= god then
