Just a question. On the first picture, how do you make that type of border? is it two black lines and 2 pixels between them, or?

It is good. I don't think it's really spectacular. Colours are not really perfected and blending is ok.

for the border; select all stroke 4px white, inside, set to softlight. Highlight inside the border make new layer and stroke 2px, a colour from the tag this time it should be outside, again strok black 1px outside, and final select all and stroke 1px inside.
I purposely chose the purple and orange/yellow, just wanted to see how it looks, the colors were from the stock i used for the background
