The immediate descent was brief, leading the pair only fifty meters down into the earth. It wasn't until Ozymandias and Solomon reached the entrance to the cave system that the true magnitude and depth of the man-made tunnels had become clear; the only sounds that filled the now slow ramp descent were that of the torches, crackling gently along the walls, their gentle footsteps, and the occasional droplet of water. Footprints littered the cavern pathways, likely left behind by the hundreds of cultists that had been stationed here. Charged with the responsibility of digging, extending the intricate caverns that sprawled downward seemingly into infinity. And yet, peculiarly, in various locations along the walls of the caves deep markings could be spotted. Pickaxes that struck the earth with more intent, focused on a specific location. Solomon ran his hands along the walls, closing his eyes to appreciate the particular grooves and crevices that had been dug out at those locations. "Do you see these markings, Ozymandias?" Solomon motioned toward the wall, his Byakugan narrowed as pointed at the crevice. Most who would venture down below would find nothing of interest in the complex mine system. It took a particularly trained eye to uncover the mysteries it held; but behind each crevice was were bone shaped markings. Behind the Mage King stood the Uchiha he had summoned, passively standing watch and observing the cave system with his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
"If you look carefully, you can see hundreds like this. They had pulled something out of the walls of the cavern. Hundreds of them." It was true. The bones, or artifacts, had been pulled from the walls of the cavern in huge numbers. The frequency having seemingly increased as they went deeper and deeper into the cave system. Yet Solomon could sense no chakra aside from Ozymandias's and the Uchiha's. Whatever they had taken from the cave, any sign of it was gone. "It all seems empty. Even my Byakugan cannot make out any other signs of whatever was excavated from their mines. But..." Suddenly the Mage King paused. Within the Human Order Seal Goetia spoke, his voice flooded with urgency. King Solomon, do you sense it? It is the same artifact as the meteorite that was taken from the Grand Library. I would never forget that dreaded chakra pulsations... Indeed the Mage King could feel it, though much deeper within the cave system. And it had largely become a trace residue of chakra that had been emitted long ago, weeks if not months. No doubt it was the meteorite that had fallen three centuries ago, or at the very least something similar to it. It was one of the Three Calamities that Solomon would never forget. An event that would see to the downfall of the Hangurian Freehold.
"Long ago, King Ozymandias, a meteorite once pierced the heavens and crashed on the mainland. A contingent of Black Ones, the Hangurian Special Forces of old, had quickly retrieved it and stored it in the Grand Library. It was there that the meteorite was stored until the infamous year 804, when the Nine Tails devastated the capital and effectively ended an empire that had stood for over five centuries." Solomon paused, catching his breath, while motioning for Ozymandias to follow deeper into the cave. His stride hastened the further they went. "This might be the mystery we need to uncover to understand the Voice and his intentions."
