I don't get it! Itachi's story and his will didn't convince Sasuke to protect the village but what Hashi said did?! Exactly what was this hugely influencing component of Hashi's story? Am I missing something?
But am glad Sasuke is back to being good!He seems so much coller and awesome like this. =D

He just got it through his thick skull that he was on a wrong path.

I thought it would have a bad affect, but in the end all the pain Itachi suffered made Sasuke realize destroying the village would only hurt his brother further and dishonor his memory.

I think it was his speech saying he would kill anyone for his village, just as Itachi did. He does say Itachi inherited his will from the first.

Because after hearing the efforts lead to establish the village and hearing that shinobi are ones to endure for their dreams, he realized that Hashi and Itachi had the same Will of Fire. After hearing Hashi's words, he realized that if he were to destroy the village, it would waste everything his brother did not only for the village for Sasuke as well. He couldn't dishonor Itachi like that so he chose to fight alongside the village!
