maybe Boruto affecting Mitsuki's moral compass & inherently having a possibly ootsusuki tier snake sage mode are related


Another thing, there's a theory that tenseigan which is reincarnation eye translated might be a reincarnation/imitation of jougan which explains the similar appearance. if so, Mitsuki's sage mode might be the body to Borutos eye

& it's possible since Mitsuki resembles Toneri anyways, he's got the genes for it. & then there's the theory that he might have Byakugan in sage Mode. That would further prove a connection of his sage mode and borutos jougan & then the jougan and tenseigan.

Orwhy else introduce Toneri, if they wanted Naruto and co to discover more Ootsusuki info they could just add it to the contents of the scroll Sasuke found.
