Evil or Not ???

I wouldn't say white Zetsu is necessarily evil since he's someone he kinda just does what he's told. That being said, Zetsu sole purpose in the war was to kill off the alliance, this gave Zetsu evil intentions. Naruto can sense evil and malice and sense the alliance was fighting to protect while Zetsu fought to kill, it makes sense that Naruto was able to sense the difference between the Zetsu and the alliance.

Yup they sure were following obito's and Madara's orders so it is the same but Naruto can't sense Kabuto's presence nor was able to sense Obito presence when was fighting the 5 bijuu's nor he was able to sense killing intent of the bijuu's. thanks for your thoughts really appreciate that.

^^ agree with this. Zetsus committed the murders ,evil or not, murder is murder. This was why they were considered evil, thus, naruto finding them out.

Yup murder are murder for sure but same goes for the Edo's as well as the mastermind behind the scenes as well. But Naruto didn't sense anyone of them which is pretty confusing. thanks for your thoughts really appreciate that.

zetsu are just like shinobi , they follow orders.......actions can be violent without evil intent nice thread

Yup sure I agree with you on this one they are just tools for battle. But it was made clear that Naruto sensed evil so its confusing.

It is the orders that Zetsu has been given and the intentions he had towards shinobi from the shinobi alliance that one could call evil.

The reason why naruto could sense them I think, is because he can sense evil intent or maybe I should say intentions. The Zetsu where trying to pose as loads of shinobi from the shinobi alliance with the intention to kill.

Naruto sensed that.

At least that is how I have read and watched such scenes.

Naruto's SM senses are like counterfeit money scanner, it could sense the "originality" or the "true intentions" of any fake. It simply like scanning the discrepancy of any pattern of behaviours of any spy which a spy itself could be someone very decent, never killed anyone, but compiling malice intention of gathering data that later could be use to weaken their enemy. That is why Naruto's SM mode could detect and verify it using its logic of "bona fide" intention.
