Evil Containment Wave Not Gonna Work

The last time the Evil Containment Wave was used was waaaay back in 1980 with Dragonball, during the fight between Kami and Piccolo. It failed because Picollo was simply the stronger foe. This resulted in his reversal of the technique to seal the sealer in the jar. I don't think the reversal will happen to Goku if he uses it on Zamasu, but I don't think the technique will work either. It could also be that the technique is simply too archaic. This technique was last used on a fighter who couldn't hold a candle to Raditz at the time, and it failed. It's weird to even consider this technique as an option, but what else can you do against someone who's immortal?

Vegito would be strong enough to seal away Zamasu. I can see the technique work. The reason why it wasn't used is because Goku likes training and making himself stronger than his foes, sealing someone isn't his style. We all know Goku would destroy Zamasu but since he's immortal (and the first villain that is immortal), a sealing tech has to be used. Or make Vegito so OP that he just wipes him away...
