During the end credits of Wall-E, we see the shoe that contains the last of plant life. It grows into a mighty tree. A tree that strikingly resembles the central tree in A Bug’s Life and the tree Carl and his wife used to lay.

Very much so. The entire world is based on the struggle between humans, animals and technology. And at the heart of the entire world it's all based on one human using technology to find an animal. That bond is what creates all these events showing that sat the end the human VS animals VS technology was somewhat resolved.
