Sasuke tried to burn her and spent the fight having his susanoo dumpster-ed, being negged into another dimension and being dodged.​

In terms of usefulness:

As for Sasuke's hits Kaguya was scared of them that's why she disposed of him or changed dimensions to avoid his hits. As for Naruto's hits I didn't see Kaguya giving two shits about them.

Actually Sasuke managed to punch her with his Susano shortly before Naruto ripped Kaguya's arm off. Given it dealt no damage but regardless.

I believe Sasuke was in a disadvantage the entire time. Most of his attacks are highly chakra based and kaguya's ability to absorb and destroy chakra gave him a really hard time.

If I'm to be subjective a little, in terms of usefulness it goes to Sasuke and Sakura since they're intertwined through marriage. Whatever Sasuke takes Sakura can have 1/2 share of. Therefore, Sasuke and Sakura take this by marriage unity.

Ps. Sasuke was as useful as Naruto was. Most of what they came up with stemmed from Sasuke's side. Naruto was mostly docile to Sasuke's quick thinking, and was at least able to be used unlike Kakashi, as Sasuke, albeit quite erroneously, pronounced the others useless. The entire fight comprised of Naruto busting out all of his best moves while Sasuke analysed the fight and thought up ways of making use of Naruto and exploiting Kaguya's weaknesses. It was this synchronicity (tilted more to Sasuke's side) that made it possible for Kaguya to be sealed, along with Sakura and Kakashi's inputs that nudged them further to their goal.

Honestly I believe Kaguya just isn't the right type of opponent for Sasuke's skill set. Just my observation but Sasuke was taking a lot more initiative against JJ Madara compared to Naruto while Naruto took the initiative with Kaguya.

1st Naruto was going to die and fall into the lava and die on the instant dimension change. 2nd he was trapped like a sack of fecal matter and it was Sasuke's Enton which saved them in the Ice dimension. 3rd issue is she had to change dimensions to avoid Sasuke's Ameno Chidori whereas she was tanking Noodles hits like they were pathetic and unbothered by them. It's obvious who was viewed as the bigger threat and she sent him to another dimension to ensure he couldn't interfere. This is all post Sasuke saving them from the IT.

If he had more prioirty, he should have been more aware. This isn't time to slack. He let himself get grabbed and thrown into another dimension. Naruto didn't let that happen to him because he knew what was at stake.
