You know the feeling when your having a great dream and then wake up to only find out that it was only a dream. I would be mad at sauce and noodles if they woke me up from my paradise to come back to this hell called life.

Some of the people's dreams are either completely unrealistic or often goes back to the past. Their brain is still active, meaning that their current memories still resides in it as well. Thus, parts of them wanted out. The only thing IT actually does is forcing and replaying dreams into their minds as well as mentally isolate them from each other. No evidence ever suggest that they live completely as if it was reality. Unless I'm missing something here.

Yeah I'm sure they would have appreciated turning into Zetsu's as well.

Maybe their IT dreams faded away quickly like normal dreams do.

The entire point of the war was so that Mugen Tsukiyomi wasn't cast.

I don't recall Madara stating that in the Obito flashback. They didn't seem like they wanted out at all And I doubt Kishi studied neurology.

They didn't know about the Zetsu thing.

Most of them didn't know about the happy dream aspect. Obito as Tobi told them that their minds would become one which of course didn't happen.

Maybe their IT dreams faded away quickly like normal dreams do.

It's a not really a dream but a Genjutsu which people have shown not to forget.

I remember thinking that Naruto might be in IT during chapter 698 (when Sasuke admitted he lost.)

Kishi could have stretched it out for years if he would have done that.

I'm pretty sure the anger would've faded when they realized they were stuck in disgusting cocoons.

It's a not really a dream but a Genjutsu which people have shown not to forget.
I based it on the fundamentals behind genjutsu. IT at the very basic core, works almost the same way as all genjutsu does. They:
-
-
- If you noticed, one way or another, people who got caught in genjutsu are aware that they are stuck in it. In this case, they are aware they'll get caught after seeing the moon.

Nothing suggest that IT works otherwise. I.e: Naruto and Sasuke's collaborative seal works almost exactly like the buddy system, which involves third-parties disruption genjutsu. IT's specialty is that:

- Cast moonlight all over the world.
- Almost everyone without power from an Ootsutsuki are permanently stuck once caught.
- Puts them in eternal sleep.
- That's all I can find.

People's minds are still active within that genjutsu; otherwise, dreams wouldn't play from them in great detail. Because where else do dreams come from anyway. That's why when they got off, they had an exhausted expressions on their faces. [ ]

Let's look at what IT really does. Madara never for one create a dream world for everyone like he . That is if anything an outright lie. People are actually isolated from each other [ ][ ]; plus we saw how IT really works when Kaguya cast it [ ]. He also this whole Rin shit. So I couldn't take much of what Madara said seriously.

To have people together in the same world, they have to be in some way mentally connected. IT isn't a dream world at all by definition. Only thing united is that they're all stuck under one tree and one big giant-ass rock light.

Edit: To really answer your question. People are someway aware that they are under IT. Just like how it was every time one gets caught under genjutsu. Difference is like I mentioned, IT basically forces those dreams to be played. But it doesn't take away their awareness, which suggest that they wanted out.

Actually, IT doesn't seem to control and disrupt the chakra flow. Kaguya used it on people before chakra was spread among the population(only her family had it at the time) and it doesn't affect Edos which have been affected by Genjutsu before(Itachi). However, Kishi never bothered to explain how it works.

Other points are fine.
