This is something that had happened to me at 11.30 PM on a silent bridge, in last October that too on my birthday.
I was walking on a railway bridge at 11:30 PM and it was a Sunday night. This bridge is located in very spooky place, because it has railway workshop beneath it, followed by few abandoned railway buildings. People rarely cross this bridge at night, because before few decades there was a serial killer in this area who killed many people brutally using ax.
I was crossing this bridge at the night and since I love to do a bit of paranormal investigation, I used to carry recorder along with me. That night when I was returning from the party, I decided to keep the recorder while walking down the bridge. The bridge is an open bridge with no roofs, it only has covers on both the sides made up of metal sheets, connected together(that too are pretty old). Also bridge is at the height of several feats from the ground.
When I was walking down the bridge and almost past the halfway, I heard a loud bang on the metal sheet. It is a really long bridge and since it was Sunday night, no one was there on the bridge. All the metal sheets shattered as hardly as possible, sadly it didn't get captured on audio. First, I thought it was some prank by some kids or some human and peeped through the opening, only to found no one. I again continued my walk soon, I heard the second bang, louder than the first one. This time though, I captured it on audio.
I was scared as **** doe and almost ran to the other side.
The story of bridge didn't end here doe, after few days, at around 11 PM on the same bridge, I felt like a black shadow figure was following me. It continued till I reached exactly at the middle of the bridge and then decided to hop on my shoulder and I felt like it was there at my back till I reached home(I was feeling like, my back was heavy and I was scared as **** to look back or check out). When I reached home, I decided to do some Pooja(Prayers) and then felt much better.
I even shared that audio with few of my friends and figured out that it was almost like someone was trying to hit something forcefully on the metal sheets.
Now, I am planning to spend an entire night there(doe still a bit scared to do so).

You know, I've always wanted to believe these are illusions, It's easier that way, I don't think there's anything pleasant there, like someone say don't think about elephants and you think about elephants, best stay unaware of it and focus on outer world.
OT: Well a long one actually, I had always felt presence that I couldn't see from birth to like 8th grade, then my mother was possessed by this same soul, and she wasn't lying, I've known her my whole life and I got more brains then her, she can't fool me, anyway it was ****ed up and I couldn't go into detail since this person when alive had deep connection to my family, but yeah I've developed permanent fear of these things and avoid it all the times possible, like I mentioned above.

I don't think I ever mentioned that when I got dragged by that thing, a couple of days later my mum suddenly started screaming loudly and when I'd ran to her bedroom to wake her up she'd wake up and look at me confused asking why me; what is the matter?
I think I was responsible for that so I completely blocked my sensitivity for quite a long time
