What if the attack already begun?
Gai closed the distance between Madara and himself almost instantaneously, so much so that Madara was in utter shock.
Such speed without actual teleportation is sure to have a pulling force on the air around it.
Step 1: Gai ran so fast that all the surrounding air in his path got yanked forward and is merely trailing behind him.
That is a lot of air. Ton and tons of it.
Step 2: Then he is going to use those two punches to drag in all the forward moving air behind him, all at once, to create an incredible crushing force.
I take it, those two simultaneous punches would be the tusks of the elephant.
That is why its called the Evening Elephant. What is an elephant known for? It's weight.
So this attack is a weight attack!
It uses the tremendous amounts of displaced air to pile up on the enemy, like a giant weight. Hence the elephant.
Note the attack is unlike Hirudora which merely shoots an air pressure bullet. The Evening Elephant tech literally pulls all the air to smash the opponent.
