Even sai didn't want to kill Sumire

I read many many many comments in social media complaining about Boruto how he's a clone of naruto for not killing his FRIEND like wtf even Sai a grown up that doesn't have a relationship with Sumire at all refused to kill her. he just wanted to restrain her.

So what's the deal with everyone wanting Sumire to die by Boruto's hands. Naruto fans sometimes are really annoying and spit nonsense frequently without thinking logically. Why didn't they complain about Sai not killing Sumire?

I personally am voting for Mitsuki to kill her, but I won't think poorly of the show if she [most likely] survives. But I can understand why people are placing a large amount of expectation for her to die; throughout the entirety of Naruto, virtually every character who was given the chance was Talk no Jutsu'd into turning good. It became so ridiculous to the point of Naruto even saying Obito was "the coolest guy"... This show however has the chance to really separate itself from that trend and give us something of a fresh start. Maybe not every character/villain NEEDS to be killed off, but we also have the chance to get a show that won't be so afraid of killing that the main villain who murdered literally hundreds gets called "the coolest guy".

The problem is not whether Sunire deserves to die or not. The problem is SP for all they are trying to say Bort is different than Naruto they have him acting like Naruto pretty much this whole arc and have it set up where it will predictable end with Bort talk-no-jutsu-ing the villain just like Naruto would do. It is boring and not original but man won't it be nostalgic.

Whether she lives or dies doesn't really matter to me. I'm only watching the series till the end of the Gaiden arc, cause i don't want to see a 3rd recap of the Movie.

I doubt they'd send an academy student to jail, when she was in fact manipulated by her ex-root operative father. She'd most likely sacrifice herself for the "greater good"
