Evangelion ending?

i stopped liking this anime after finding out that Rei is Shinji's mother and wasn't he like in love with her? and rei II? what?

anyway I just skipped all the events after that to the very last ep called the end of evangelion

i didnt really get the ending... thers so many unanswered questions.

does rei die?

does shinji kill asuka at that beach cuz he was like strangling her

why did he strangle her?

and more importantly what the hell was going on?

Rei is a clone of Shinji's mother.

Did Rei die? Probably.

He didn't kill her.

He was going crazy and wanted to see if he was still in the dream world or not by trying to get a reaction out of Asuka.

No one ever knows.

Why skip the tv series ? the only thing that you need to skip is the last 2 episode and continue with EOV,
that's why you have no idea whats going on,

by the way you should see that picture posted by the guy up there.

this is probably the only anime that i want to see the main char with the girl cause hes so fragile

so he doesnt get together with rei? so disappointing.

he turns into a psycho thats ssad

Now then watch the Evangelion rebuild series somewhere around the 2nd and 3rd movie they continue the series and goes beyond the tv anime and EOE.

Neon Genesis Evangelion was a rollercoaster of an anime. I haven't seen it in about 15 years though. I remember Rei dying. She was a clone of Shinji's mother as I remember. I should re-watch them. Shinji killed that dude who was the last Angel...that's about all I remember lol.

Evangelion is a masterpiece, its unique and has many interpretations as far as NGE and EoE/manga{the rebuilds are weak garbage, hopeful 4.0 redeems it}.

But the mean one is acceptance and the contents of an individuals heart,the main theme is expressed in EoE through dialogue and LAS {Asuka x shinji}, when watching, it is important to keep in mind:

1. Each characters development/ defect.

2. Shinji's out look on his self and others.

3. Relationships developments, i.e (asuka and kaji, shinji and misato etc. )

4. Gendo is actions, and the mis-interpretations of love or the longing of it.

This four point may you on your journey through an amazing experience that is Eva. ,I hope I help you enjoy the series a bit more or at least understand it a bit.
