What's your stance on it?

...and what are the reasons for your beliefs?

I'm for it.

If you're suffering from an incurable disease and you're in pain, why contintue living? If I were ever to end up in a such situation, I would want my family to pull the plug.

I'm in for it, if we can extend the courtesy of ending the suffering of our pets, we at least can allow dignified deaths to people suffering from grave ailments, not only brain death, think about diseases such as MS or Huntington or any neurodegenerative disease in which results in a complete loss of motor functions, his ability to perceive stimuli and these diseases are without a cure, so why to extend suffering of a person in this day and age.

Dunno. Can't assess the victim's emotions. Also generally I believe we should fight it out in life. So can only say I have no clue

Legally the terminally ill ARE entitled to it. Suicide isn't illegal, it's just that they lack the means to kill themselves, so why not get assistance? Morally I think it would be the right thing to do for people that are suffering and want a way out.

OT: As a concept generally it was thought to relieve pain/suffering. If the patient wants to end it all maybe they should be given that option. Sounds like suicide though so...meh I don't know.

I obviously support it. If I have a horrid disease, and am living like a rotten vegetable and have absolutely no hope of surviving, I would rather put an end to my time above the ground, as opposed to suffering for many years prior to kicking the bucket.

I'm for it.
If i had an incurable disease which will progressively get worse and make me suffer in my last days then i don't want that. Better quit while i can rather than just live on a bed and suffer each moment, not to mention how much tough it would be for my relations to see me like that.
Same opinion if someone else had it in my life.
Just quit when it gets too worse and unable to handle.
I think seeing someone else suffer each day and then pass away would hurt more than just letting them go.

Man, this is a complex topic indeed. While i think euthanasia is 'correct', from an utilitarian standpoint, minimising suffering and what not, I think that the possible disadvantages could outweigh the advantages. Personally, I think we have to consider it from other people's perspectives. Yes, it is painful for the person undergoing the suffering, but how about his/her's family? If the victim is 'killed', wouldn't it affect the emotional wellbeing of their families too? You have to consider that they, as humans, have hope - the hope that he/she can be cured eventually.

Moreover, consider the feelings of the medical staff. How would the medical staff feel upon essentially 'killing' somebody? In addition, You have to consider, once euthanasia is legalised, the mindset that suicide is acceptable would be transmitted through society. People would be more inclined towards assisted suicide. How should the doctors handle this then? Kill everybody? I don't know, but this could potentially cause problems in society, what with mindset issues and the like.

However, there is something I forgot to add in my previous point. Whilst humans should have the choice to end their lives if they're under too much discomfort in my opinion, there are some cases which are going to be complex. For example, if the patient is a complete vegetable who can't think for himself properly, then there can be problems. For example, a family member may " coerce" or take advantage of the decrepit relative, to make him kill himself. Why would he do such a thing? The person may want his family member out of the way in order to get a massive inheritance quicker.

Then there's the perspective of the doctors/other medical staff, who have to " kill" the patient. Will they feel happy about doing such a thing in a profession that is all about honour? This can be a medium for corruption and a copious amount of court cases. I still think Euthanasia should be allowed, but it must be done with great care.

I agree.
This is too complex an issue to be analysed.

I think it's acceptable as long as it's treated similar to how a "living will" is handled. In those cases, individuals can give instructions ahead of time in case they are ever in a medical situation where they don't have the capacity to make decisions.

I love the youth in Asia who would have something against them?

Oh you said, I see.

Yea it's fine as long as you can prove that the person asked for it.

A lot of people are confusing euthanasia with assisted suicide. These are not the same thing.

OT: From a business model euthanasia is good, especially if you are a socialist state. The elderly, disabled, and terminal are financial money pits. To euthanize them would leave more money and a stronger fiscal state for military and social programs. From a moral/ethical standpoint it is abhorrent. No man has the right to decide another's death. Ethically, people in all humans services, especially medical, take an oath to protect people, do no harm, and advocate for people who need assistance.
