to resist black holes or something. I think he was supposed to be at planet destroying level.

Going by Midochlorian count and the Clone Wars series, (if you count that as canon).

Anakin was suppose to become the next father, someone who is capable of subduing two beings that can destroy the universe by fighting alone. Anakin was capable of doing this before he even reached his FP, far from it.
