In hachibi mode....yes he can get rid of thr flames but if they are cast by sasuke, he can then use his right eye's power to spread the flames all over his body.

If sasuke was able to put out the flames with his right eye like he did in canon against B, he can most certainly increase the verocity of the flames. Also I assume that hos flames control would be superior in ems than it was against B the time they fought.

Even against A he quickly materialized flames to coat his susanoo so he could the same thing to coat the hachibi in flames and it would be more effective seeing as he has more chakra with ems

I mean, tusonade already healed kakashi from that brain damage
