I'll be discussing the original sons of sparda not the rebooted one.
Dante:
Well he's one of the most broken fictional characters out there. He has a counter to just about everything.
-He has his trademark sword rebellion that chops his enemies down.
-then he has his fathers sword which can separate dimensions
-has the quicksilver ability which slows/stops time
-doppelganger which is equal to him and has all his abilities.
-dreadnaught armor which when activated NOTHING can damage him.
-Royal release where can literally deflect any incoming attack
-He can teleport thanks to his trickster style
-Can dodge lightspeed attacks
-and all this gets amp'd x2 while in devil trigger
- Not to mention in his Majin form he's stated to be completely invincible cant be injured or damaged.
Now for Vergil
He's the fast one
-His yamato sword can cut through ANYTHING. I repeat ANYTHING.
-Vergil can summon swords thanks to his demonic energy, which he can spawn into enemies.
-vergil so fast that with judgement cut he does a consecutive number of strikes too fast for the naked eye to see, you wouldnt even see him unsheathed his sword.
-He has teleportation which he uses to slice his enemies in half before they could know what happen.
When dante and vergil fought they were swinging their swords so fast in the rain that the rain above them couldnt touch them it went around them creating a air pocket.
right before dante ran down the side of the tower at a speed so fast he ignited on fire.
