*As you approach me and stand mid range away from my location, I quickly notice your headband, allowing me to know that you're a ninja from the village hidden in the mist.*

What's a Kirigakure ninja doing around here?

Asked Roy, as he simultaneously started infuse his breath with sound waves which go off to the surrounding area and bounce off of everything that has a physical presence, allowing him to be aware of the area around him so that he is prepared for an attack from different angles. The Kirikagure ninja would not be aware that Roy had done this.

Description: The user enhancing their hearing by utilizing chakra and enfusing their sound waves from their mouth. With their breathing sound waves emerge and bounce off of objects having them know wherever everything is around them.

After doing that, Roy would go on to release his Earth chakra into the ground directly below you and use that chakra to make several sharp rock pillars of earth to emerge, in an attempt to strike you. The spikes would come out from the area short range surrounding you, coming at a slight angle from the areas to your sides, behind and in front of you so that their sharp ends are what meet your body.

As the ground beneath Gildarts begins to rumble and shake with the incoming jutsu, he focuses chakra around himself, which blows up the tips of the spears as they touch his bombshell (I beleive they were all meant to hit at the same time; correct me if this defence shouldn't be valid). After the explosions, Gildarts pulls out a small scroll which poofs into a sword.
Gildarts: I handled it well, don't you think?

Any physical object which comes into contact with the aura (other than the surface the user is standing on when the jutsu is used) will cause the aura to spontaniously combust outwards from the point of impact, rendering an opponents projectiles and taijutsu useless.

(Hagetaka Kaen Katana) Hagetaka Blaze Sword:

Description: The user Draws a small scroll as if it was a sword, the scroll then poofs into Kean Katana, a super sharp Katon sword capable of cutting through Earth and Chakra infused Earth up to B-Rank as if it was butter. Kean Katana is extremely hot and will ignite clothing or other flammable cloth of fire. due to this heat the user will need to focus Katon Chakra in his hand to wield it. This makes it impossible to use Suiton Jutsu. It's natural Katon nature makes Katon Jutsu's stronger then normal and easier to use. the user may add more Katon Chakra to the sword to extend the reach of the blade.
Note:
-Katon Jutsu only need one Handseal when holding the sword
-Can cut through B-rank Earth tech, though it also depends on the size of the earth jutsu
-The user can't use Suiton Jutsu while welding this Blade.
-Can only Extend reach by 4 meters, and it only last one turn.
-Can only extend 4 times per battle
-Must wait a turn before extending again.

Well? You've just left yourself open... how will you take care of this!

*As you protect yourself from my Earth spikes, I begin to perform a sequence of 3 hand seals, whilst concentrating on my water chakra, using it to create a cloud above you. The cloud would form and slowly travel towards you, however, as soon as you summon your sword, it'd suddenly pop and begin to make black oil rain down on the area short range above you, including your body, head (if there's nothing protecting it) and everything else you're wearing. Due to your hot sword which is capable of igniting normal clothes on fire, with the oil all over you and the area around you, you'd go up in flames as soon as your blade is summoned.

Description:After performing the Ram → Snake → Tiger hand seals the user creates a flammable black mist that forms a small cloud. The user can then move the cloud above their target and disperse it, covering the target in flammable oil.

After the rain, I quickly follow up by creating an opening in the sky and allowing a large amount of viscous mud to flow downwards towards you. The mud would fall on top of you as you're on fire and almost bury you alive. The mud would also get heated/boil due to the whole area being on fire caused by the oil + your sword.

Description: The user creates an opening within the sky, which drips down onto the opponent a large amount of mud, covering them. It’s normally followed up by Lightning release: sixteen pillar bind to create a giant oven around the opponent and then using Fire release: Firing biscuit technique to ignite the oven, hardening the mud and immobilizing the enemy target.
