I think what Kushina is saying is more that Hashirama gained control with Mito sealing it inside herself to aid her husband not that Hashirama aided himself.
She merely helped Shodai by taking away Kyuubi from the fight.

I agree with this. We know that wood release could stop Kurama, but from what we know it can't control Kurama.

It said aid him in battle, but that could mean anything depending on how you interpret it. If you reword that sentence Kurama aided him when Mito sealed it inside herself, because then Hashirama might have been able to gain control of it then.

They didn't flat out say, "Oh Hashirama used Kurama against Madara."

What if he tamed it and got it out of the way? We're not ready, until there's some SOLID proof that states otherwise to make assumptions about what people have said in the Manga.​

this is correct, couldn't quite see the coma, he didn't use the fox against madara or until the manga says so

I would like someone to now explain:

- Why Hashirama would leave the Kyuubi lying around for the rest of the fight when he could've used it against Madara. Does that make any sense to you?
- How Hashirama suddenly went from being = Madara to being > Madara + PS + Kyuubi.
- Why the manga has used the word 'control' when it could've very easily said 'suppressed'.
- How Madara knows his Perfect Susanoo can stand up to a Bijuu.

If you ask me, the manga is implying that Hashirama ended up seizing control of the Kyuubi and used it against Madara. It by far makes the most sense with what we know so far.

did he defeat them simultaneously?- no, highly unlikely
did he defeat them one by one- yes

but does that mean hashi>madara+kyuubi?
yes cause no matter in the end he defeated them both, its upto you ofcourse
