Alright so I've been thinking about the Eren's father & the Ape , cause many people seem to think his dad is involve on this, either a Titan or the mastermind behind this .
First the Ape :
Why is not Eren's father : We know that he was a Doctor from his village & he was very well known with the people & soldiers also he knew about the 3D gear & weapons that the soldiers were using just like everyone in the village did .
In this scan , we see the Ape not knowing what this weapons were :
seems to be a pretty old titan (maybe one of the first titans) with no knowledge of how far the soldiers arsenal has come , as seen in the picture below :
Now , I believe Eren was the one who ate his father & this is why :
So far we know , that everyone who has been shown to be a Titan , don't remember what they did or who they ate when they first transformed & so on :
I'm thinking that when Eren was injected with the titan power like we saw in his flashbacks , he instantly transformed cause he was raging & didn't know what was going on , ate his dad & just wonder off , until he turned human again & just like the others he doesn't remember what he did . There's a reason why his dad told him to go find his basement & find everything about the titans based on his research , he knew he would die sooner or later & trusted everything on Eren , so i really doubt he is the mastermind behind breaking the walls , i think this is all about surviving , the humans that can turn into titans want their own world & the humans want a world without titans .
