When I was younger I did enjoy the books a lot. BUT, nowadays it just screams "WRITTEN BY A FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD".
It's not really that clever of a book.

It is overrated.Period..
When I read it now, It seems stupid and some of the things are blatantly ripped from some other books.But its good for young people, just exploring the fantasy section.

Read it when I was 14/15 I think and it was actually a pretty good fantasy book then. Now that I'm older and that I've read books like ASOIAF or Elric of Melnibone, it really seems to be for kids.

It really doesn't because really the only thing that movie has in common with the book is the characters names and that's about it.

I have read all of the books. They are really good, I quite enjoyed them. The movie Eragon was horrible. They need to remake it.
