Well the flashbacks were in the manga as well (albeit not to the same extent) so ...

Just be glad you got these two episodes at once - that way you didn't have to suffer through flashbacks for two full weeks

What a stupid waste of time. If they were going to release a 2-episode special filled with fillers, I'd have prefered only one without those stupid fillers, and that included AT LEAST Kurama mode -.-

Seriously, 2 episodes just to show Naruto removing the stake, which could have taken 5 minutes to do, and we could have had a TRUE special showing Kurama+Naruto going all out.

I don't think you get what a special is, it's just two episodes. It's not a special because it's so important or anything.
