This episode is in my opinion Shippuuden's best drawn and animated episode. :scorps: The shapes are right, colors are right and details are awesome. These are probably my favorite stills from the episode:

If they did more episodes like this, even fillers would improve :)O). As for the animation, you'll just have to watch it yourselves again :).

I agree.

But personally, Deidara vs Sasuke and Madara vs the Alliance are the best animated canon episodes.

If only the animation stayed how it was in the 5 kage summit I thought it was perfect for shippuden

Immortals arc?

edit: Oh you probably mean Kakuzu and Hidan. Yes that did have very good animation as well. The chikara arc is top notch on animation but the art is less imo, also the light/shadow aren't what they should be I think in that arc. Very enjoyable nontheless.

It had some great art, but the animaton itself wasn't anything impressive. 322 (Uchiha Madara) was done by the same director, however the difference is on 322 he focused more on fluid animation instead of art/details.

Also people shouldn't really use Chikara as a bench mark, the only reason Chikara had movie quality animation was because... it was originally being produced as a movie (go figure lol). So comparing Chkara to regular episodes is the same as comparing other Naruto movies to regular episodes, it's not really a fair comparison.

You're right. You're absolutely right. 322 is awesome because of fluid animation. I think i'd prefer that over detail a little, hence why 322 is, next to 163 and 204, my favorite episode. And I've seen a lot of people say that Chikara had a movie budget thus movie animation so I guess you make a point by saying you're comparing apples with oranges.
