Epiphone and Marshall.

So, I've been playing guitar for 3 years now. I'm planning to buy an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Pro and a Marshall DSL40C amp. Can I play pop,punk,alt,rock,metal, etc..with this combo? Or is this combo only good for a certain genre like classic rock?

i dont see why not man. if you really wanna get specific tones then you need to look into some pedals. The guitar itself will play anything. epiphone les pauls are pretty versatile. The amp may not have as many options as some amps, but just test some different models out at your nearest guitar shop and see what you like best.
