i agree with you somewhat, because peter jackson didnt make the series like george lucas did with star wars; he had the books so all he had to do was go from page to screen.

have you ever seen the movie properly, ie followed the story? i have never seen anyone (not a kid nor a senior) that thought that lotr was a piece of shit, everybody i ever asked and that saw the movie liked at least some part of it
