well it still stands that sasuke could have used amaterasu and instead used enton, maybe amaterasu isn't as good as ppl claim because sasuke uses it more than amaterasu.

I don't know about you but I wouldn't use an offensive tech to guard from an attack when I have a tech perfect for guarding against the attack coming at me.

You can even see that Gaara attacked Sasuke, not vice versa.

Better for an offense, not to defend himself. Not to mention Amaterasu takes up more chakra than a simple Enton projectile.

that'd make a lot of sense in why sasuke chooses it over amaterasu, and I honestly am starting to think amaterasu is a mid range jutsu, if it does have infinite range then why hasn't sasuke used it instead of amaterasu? especially when going for the juubi's body, he went with an amaterasu coated arrow when he in theory could have burnt the juubi on sight.

yeah, but I know amaterasu would be less chakra consuming than summoning a giant snake, using enton all the while summoning susanoo, unless amaterasu is so draining it's a 1 shot only tech

I don't know where everyone is coming up with this idea that Enton flames and Amaterasu flames are different. The flames of both techniques are the same; it's just how they manifest that's different.

Not really. "Amaterasu" is closer to plain Flame Release chakra. Any "Enton" branded technique on the other hand, is "Amaterasu" living up to it's full potential as an element. Change in chakra form causes techniques to become even more powerful.
