Nope, rinnegan was just so he could use the rods, as a ranged jutsu, the arrow was blocked by chakra rods.

Obito had a hole in chest and half of him was getting transformed into zetsu, its logical to see that this guys can't die so easy.

The arrow is just fire, shaped into the form of an arrow to be fired, the first thing that touches it will cause it to stop. Sheesh.

then an enton arrow can be countered by regular shuriken? if so why would sasuke even consider using such an easily blockable attack? I say madara used preta path through the rods

Uh, as far as I remember he had to use a body to use those attacks. Otherwise it was just sending and recieving his chakra.

As we can see here enton sword went through far larger object hen the rods. Therefore some special ability was used via rods to counter enton. Rods have chakra and with this chakra alone nagato could use all the moves in case of pain.
And as minato can use FTG where his chakra is same would apply to rinnegan techniques here.

It's mostly your speculation on the matter, but usually were there something as complicated as that going on, kishi would have explained it to the readers through dialogue, as far as I can tell those chakra rods were just normal rods, no Preta path was involved, although those rods could have carried his chakra.

Enton is not a solid object it just like fire if you fling a fire at someone you throw a piece of paper at it the fire will just burn the paper wont keep going and midday your pathetic how can hate a fan fiction character
