Maybe I just don't like Boruto and am not happy that the new mangaka has his head so far up Boruto's butt that he has Boruto breaking the third wall declaring multiple times that this is his story and everyone else is just living in it. They go out of the way to include Boruto in everything and make him so important and I fear it is going to leave everyone else behind.

They already retconed the movie by adding the scene where Bort nonsensically get's a future power up from Momoshiti which clearly was not the intention when they made the movie. I guess they need something further to make him special and powerful and since he does not have any crazy eye techniques or tailed beasts and they needed to find a way to give him potential power ups so he can surpass everyone. I already didn't really like how he was stupidly only included in the movie fight because of main character privilege but they have to now use the super forced scene where he takes out Momoshiti to give him a bs power up too. I am sick and tired of aliens and bs power ups and would have much preferred they skip those scenes and had Boruto continue to be at everyone else's level initially and only get strong by utilizing his intelligence and the so called genius he is supposed to possess.

I don't like his character either. At all. But I have the feeling he can't be a jerk during the whole thing, so he'll probably get better at not being a douchey brat as the series progresses.

i agree about special powers. it would of been nice to see him just be a real kickass ninja through tactics and different elements.

but until we know definite details on the seal i cant knock it. the suspension actually gots me hyped.

This isn't a free powerup, it's classified as a curse seal the same way Sasuke obtained from Orochimaru. BTW; neither Bolt and Sasuke doesn't know anything about the seal in fact sasuke warned him that it will hinder him so right now Bolt doesn't posses and have any capacity to control this power.

Also right now Sarada is still stronger than Boruto so chill out dude; Sarada was clearly impressive in this chapter.

This continuation is Boruto's story. That's a fact, get over it. This story is focusing on 'Boruto' -- But this chapter proved that no one is in the background, even background characters like Mirai actually were shown in contrast to Kishimoto's writing, where irrelevant characters barely showed up in the plot.

Secondly, the Otsutuski play a critical part in the story line. I don't really understand the ploy in this, the next generation started off with children having Mangekyo Sharingan already, a team mate of Boruto & Sarada already unlocking Sage Mode thanks to being an experiment, and addition to this is the Aliens being critical in the plot thanks to Naruto/Sasuke being apart of the Rikudou world.

Boruto (And Kawaki) got their dues, though.

The days of getting strong through perseverance like Lee or using strategy like shikamaru are gone. Naruto has become dbz 2.0

It was a hold neg for what you said in that pedophile exposed thread.

TBH while I don't disagree with what you're saying, Naruto has been pretty much consistent with this theme. Naruto was born as a Jinchuriki, pretty much signifying his eclipse of his generation overtime. And Sasuke got the Curse Seal because Orochimaru wanted him.

Literally free power ups have been a thing for a while, sure there are characters like Lee who don't need them. But specifically they aren't important to the plot in the long run sadly.

In Boruto's generation, Boruto already had three elemental natures, learned an A-Rank technique, and made a variant of the Rasengan already. That's pretty much more than what Naruto had at the start of Shippuden.

Sarada unlocked the Sharingan, already mastered CES, and probably has more to show for it. She's already more diverse than Sakura outside of her lack of medical ninjutsu abilities, but makes it up for combat abilities.

And Mitsuki already has Sage Mode, no need to go further with this.

Team Konohamaru already eclipsed their generation in the beginning. It's kind of stupid in my opinion to argue that Boruto is the one changing the system, when the system was ****ed up since they introduced a billion little kids with 3T/MS Sharingan.

You can't tell me that retconning the movie to make Momoshiti give Boruto a seal from the dead which will almost certainly be used to give him a massive power up as anything other than complete bs. I get it you worship his character and will defend him to the end of days.

I don't really understand the problem. Whether they retconned the movie's ending, or made a completely new chapter. It would of been worse, in fact. Boruto would probably have to fight another Otsutsuki, kill him, and then bingo. But the authors wanted to make the Otsutsuki's pivotal (as seen through Sasuke's mission beforehand) in order to raise the stakes.

Initially, a power up is defined as two different scenarios:

> Being able to use the power, at full level, without training. Which is pretty much Naruto and Sasuke's abilities when they gained RSM & Rinnegan specifically.

> A power that you aren't able to control until you train overtime: Kyuubi's power and Curse Seal for them respectfully.

I dare say that the start of Boruto's seal, which is completely dwarfed by the later interpretation of the drawing in the future. Probably signifies that he has a long way to go before he accomplishes what the seal can do at full power. So again, you're literally running without the facts.

I personally saw the whole interaction with Momoshiki and Boruto as the start of the continuation, which further proved that we aren't done with the Otsutsuki. We got the lesser of both evils, unless you wanted them to interact with more. :lol

I didn't think you get this mad; I thought you were having fun time picking on me. You even pinned my quote on your sig cause you find it hilarious. But then again you were always taking things out of context on everything I have to say. The funny thing is I should be the one to be mad here; I should be the one to neg rep you and dislike for spreading all this misinformation but instead I didn't cause I know that wouldn't solve anything.

Well considering I despise the whole Otsutsuki story line and think it really dragged the quality of the story down I certainly am not going to like continuing to make them central to the story.

This is Burrito's story, if you're a Naruto fan you shouldn't even be taking this new manga as a supposed sequel. This is NOT a sequel, at least not in my perspective. It's a new manga, a new series. A series that just so happens to have Naruto's son as the protagonist.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. The Otsutsuki's have ruined the plot, no doubt about it.

Don't get me wrong, the series is milked to death. But again, I just wanted to clarify the authors are trying to do the best they can at what was already put down in the table.

I think for now that the series has a slow run, at least based on this chapter. We have a long way to go before we reach the 'climax' (I-E Flash forward), and probably there are more surprises along the way.

But I think they balanced Sasuke's story with the Otsutsuki (which is now dealing with what this seal actually is), and keeping Naruto's story (which is shown as being the Hokage for Konohagakure). In between the main story which deals with the next generation.

I don't necessarily see them going through anything drastic right now. When Kawaki is introduced, that's when shit will hit the fan

Wow someone is a little butthurt right now. I can read whatever I want and am under no obligation to like what I am reading and can criticize crap when I see it.

I think most of the fandom would rather this be the new generations story and for a bunch of them to get a lot of development. We will see as the story progresses if other people will get focus to themselves or if everything is going to simply evolve around Bort.

Yea I agree with what you're saying about how this has been prevalent for a while. I guess the power up bs really became prevalent starting near the middle portion of shippuden after the pain arc. I was just hoping that with a new character and story that the writers would realize that continuing on this trajectory will lead to a slow and cruel death for what the series should be but I guess they think more power ups quickly means more people will be interested. Alas, I just hope one day the people behind naruto revert back to part one and early shippuden where you had to work for power-ups and fights weren't just big explosions
