Chakra
By giving shape to spiritual energy and physical energy, chakra is created. By channeling their chakra through they body (Ninjas) are able to transform and manipulate it, usually forming hand seals. Most ninjas have an affinity to a natural element(wind, earth, fire, water, lightening). There are also highly skilled ninjas who posses more than one affinity, and who can combine these elements to form a new one, which are called kekkei genkai. There is also a combination of 3 elements called kekkei tota.
Ninja
Ninja, known otherwise as Shinobis, are highly skilled individuals, who practice Ninjutsu and have the ability to manipulate chackra. They usually belong to the villages (hidden villages), in which they have to protect it in case the village is in danger. They are assigned missions and take a fee in return. There are other individuals who primary belonged to a village, but left it for different cases. They are called missing nins. There are also female ninjas called kunoichi
Genjutsu
An illusion or a genjutsu is a jutsu which happens due to a disruption in the chakra flow of someone, to be specific the chakra flow in the brain of a person. When this happens the user of the genjutsu has full control over their victim's 5 sensses, including hearing, seeing, smelling, feeling and tasting. As far as I know there are 3 types of Genjutsu. Normal Genjutsu(which almost every shinobi can learn), Sharingan Genjutsu(Uchiha Clansmen) and Kurama's Clan Genjutsu which could turn illusions into reality. I've heard that there are sound and water release Gnjutsu's also, but not sure.
Users
The most well known Gen users are Itachi, Sasuke, Madara, Shusui, Obito, Danzo, Tayuya, Kurenai and the second Mizukage.

Genjutsu has some of my favorite techniques. The ability to mess with someone senses is why I want to learn it. You don't have to use combative jutsus, but instead use your "mind". I guess it suits a peaceful person like me .

How to dispel a Genjutsu and why

Simple answer lies in what is a Genjutsu. Genjutsu is a disruption of your normal chakra flow that makes you experience an illusion as it scrambles your chakra. We have gone through that so you might ask how does this help?

Ok, if a Genjutsu is a disruption in your own chakra flow, to dispel it you need to create a stronger disruption that will clear that one and leave your chakra on its normal state. So basically, there is only one way to dispel genjutsu: disrupting your chakra flow.

Now, this can be done in 3 basic ways:

1- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your physical energy. This is done by producing pain. Pain comes from the body and thus it makes your physical energy fluctuate. Because of this fluctuation your chakra flow experiences a spike. This spike is a disturbance that will dispel other disturbances present in your chakra.

2- Altering the balance between physical and spiritual energies in your chakra by disturbing your spiritual energy. This is done by your sheer will power. Its done by forcefully creating a surge of chakra in your body by spiking your spiritual energy. It can be done in 2 ways: through a technique named Kai and through other techniques, like Nagashi, that will produce a high enough surge of chakra through your body.

3- Altering your chakra flow through the introduction of foreign chakra. This can be done by an ally or by entering for example, sage mode or being a jinchuriki. The truth is that as foreign chakra enters your system or another energy (natural energy), your chakra flow becomes altered and thus releases from the genjutsu.

All of these produce a reset-like effect on your chakra flow, making it return to normal.

±± Genjutsu ±±
Genjutsu, or Illusionary Arts, unlike ninjutsu, don't produce a real, palpable, feasible effect; it produces an illusionary effect. With a specific KG however, the illusions can become so strong that the body will be fooled into mimicking in real life the fake effects its perceiving through the illusion. There exists two types of Genjutsu: the passive, non chakra fueled ones (basically illusions to our senses like visual paradoxes and such which have little use in the RP and can be easily overcome through experience and logic) and the active, chakra fueled ones. Within the active chakra fueled ones two subtypes exist: Dojutsu induced Genjutsu and Normal Genjutsu.

Genjutsu works by using chakra to disturb the chakra flow of the opponent, specially in the brain, altering his senses. By doing this you can make him perceive any thing his senses are capable of: pain, heat, cold, tickles, iching, etc etc. A ninja can make the opponent taste, smell, feel, see or hear anything he wants. However, because this is done by using your chakra to manipulate his chakra flow, the ninja needs to be close or, many times, have direct eye contact or even physical contact. This is the main limitation of Genjutsu: range. The further you are away from your opponent, the harder it is to induce the fluctuation on his chakra flow to produce the genjutsu.

How exactly does it work? Well, every one has a balanced chakra flow. The chakra flows in a balanced combination of both physical and spiritual energies. The ratio between them vary from person to person (that is how each person has a different chakra signature) but its always calm and balanced. To produce a genjutsu, a ninja uses his chakra to disturb that balance in a controlled way. This is done in a similar way to ninjutsu, throught both focusing and molding chakra. A fluctuation is then created in the targets chakra "wave length" and makes it fluctuate in a given way. This produces the illusion by scrambling the users link between his Spirit and his Body which effectively is the link between his mind and his senses. To make your chakra be capable of doing the correct fluctuation, you need to use, most of the times, handseals. These help you mold and shape and focus your chakra to the correct wave length you want to induce, thus enabling you to use it to disturb the targets chakra flow.

So idea is simple, I will post the techniques and I will ask you to analyse them for me, for example: how to use it in battle, how to counter it, what is good about this technique (pros), what is bad about it (cons), what you like about it and etc. I think you pretty much get what I mean. The "How to perform" - part is a bit, not needed for, but you are more than welcome to perform it, if you don't understand the technique. It's better if we focus on the important things, like actually analysing the whole technique and knowing how to use it in a fight. Only filling the template is boring and sometimes not fun. I want to make this training as enjoyable as I can, I know templates can be boring and dull at times.

Description: The user casts an illusion over an area that allows him to manipulate the way an area looks to fool an opponent. He can only change the way the terrain looks, and not any other feature.

Okay so, here I would like you to focus your chakra towards my clone and insert it into its brain; that makes him believe that the surrounding area has changed, but of course within reason. This technique can only change the way the area looks, can't do anything else besides that. So you could change the terrain to rocky area, green plains and even a desert, but you have to be smart about it.

One/three advantages:

• 1. It can fool the opponent into thinking there is another terrain rather than the one you are truly on.
• 2. It disrupts the opponents charka flow.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Its low rank means it can easily be overpowered by another genjutsu.
• 2. It only changes the terrain, nothing more.

How you would use it in battle:
The best way I can think is in a situation where the opponent may be in need of a water source. He needs to perform the water jutsu but needs a water source nearby. What I do is cast the genjutsu, making him think he has a water source, but unfortunately it would result useless for him and it would be beneficial for me, since it will give me enough time for an opening.

How you would counter it:
I guess unless you've learned Kai! , the only way is to inflict damage on yourself, though it's not really that necessary on this technique, since it only changes the terrain.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I focus my charka in my body. Once I have enough charka I focus in on your clone. As I focus on him I send my charka into his brain. This causes the clone to suddenly see a waterfall instead of the usual hidden leaf forest due to my chakra having control on his sense of perception.

(Genjutsu: Kahen Tonsou) - Illusion Technique: Flower Petal Escape

Description: The user makes five handseals, appearing to dissolve into a shower of cherry blossom petals. These petals surround the opponent, blocking his vision. This allows the user to mask his movement effectively.

This one seems a little useless, perform the big amount of handseals [silly imo for such a low rank technique] then insert your chakra into your targets brain, they will see a shower of cherry blossom petals, this cover his vision. Mainly used to cover your tracks, and/or retreat or whatnot.

• 1. Effective when you need to create an opening to your opponent.
• 2. Effective in using this technique as a diversion and then perform another one while he can't see.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. It a rather obvious genjutsu to detect
• 2. Its easy for your opponent to get released from the genjutsu

How you would use it in battle:
I mold my charka as I do five hand seals. Once I have enough charka and one seal to go I see my opponent taking an offensive stance. I then focus in on my opponent allowing me to insert my charka into his brain. This would cause him to see flower petal all around him and lose concentration, giving me an opening to attack him.

How you would counter it:
I don't think that this genjutsu lasts forever, but in any case, taking a kunai and inflicting a bit of pain in your arm would do.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I focus my charka throughout my body. I than preform five hand seals. Once I have enough charka i focus in on my opponent. As this happens I send charka into his brain making him think that flower petals have surrounded him.

Ah, perform the seal and repeat the process of inserting your chakra into my clone. While you're doing that, get a paper bomb ready and then throw it at the clone, the clone will see a clone of you racing towards him, but really it's actually a paper bomb, and once the paper bombs comes within the area of them, it goes boom. IT would be nice if this was longer, like mid-range. But you could still pull this off nicely.

• 1. Effective because it enables you to damage your opponent outside of the genjutsu.
• 2. Effective in confusing the enemy into thinking your using clones.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. You need to be short range.
• 2. Its low ranking, makes it easily countered.

How you would use it in battle:
Probably in a situation where i have one active clone in the field. I would cast the genjutsu, in which I will throw the paper bomb, and the opponent will think that it's a clone. Then I'll send my other clone into attack, in which he will attack the opponent first, and while he's distracted by the real clone, the paper bomb would hit him.

How you would counter it:
I would let myself get a bit of damage from the bomb, or i would just inflict damage into myself.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I mold my charka throughout my body. I than focus on my opponent, and since we are short range we happen to lock eyes. I than make one hand seal. This allows me to take out a paper bomb as I insert my charka into my targets brain making him see a clone running towards him. Once I throw the bomb and its about to explode the opponent sees the clone explode as well.

(Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu) - Mist Servant Technique

Description: This illusion creates numerous illusionary clones of the user that appear to emerge from the ground, trees, rocks, etc. If these clones are attacked, they appear to multiply. The user can co-ordinate his attacks with the clones to make it appear as if they are real.

This technique doesn't need any seals to perform it, as well it goes up to mid-range. I think all you have to do is look at them, this technique allows you to cast a illusion over your target, he will see many clones of you, coming out of the ground and trees, well pretty much all around them. And, if the clones are attacked, they will double, and keep doubling. Use this with the actual shadow clones technique, it would work oh so very well.

• 1. Great in concealing where your attack is coming from.
• 2. Useful if you need to evade your enemy.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. You can get out of with ease.
• 3. If your opponent launches a wide scale attack, you might not be able to evade it.

How you would use it in battle:
As you mentioned, I would probably create a clone while the illusion is active. He will be after the fake clones in the illusions, while I send the clone underground using Hiding like a mole technique, and catch him off guard.
How you would counter it:
A small injury would do, but also shocking yourself with a low rank lightning technique. Or if you have already learned Kai! then it would be better.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I mold my charka throughout my body. I than focus on my target. Once I make eye contact with him I release my charka into his brain making him see clones appearing from everything. I make my opponent think the fake clones are attacking him from everywhere, making him loose concentration and leaving him open for another attack.

Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

Funny technique. Perform the two seals, then as always insert your chakra into your targets brain, they will picture an amount of leaves surround them, the leaves will go away at some point, then your target will think they are seeing their biggest fear. This technique doesn't any damage, but it will give them a small shock, and if you're lucky they will faint.

• 1. Can be used as a distraction.
• 3. Leaves the victim shocked for a while.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. It requires two hand seals.
• 2. Its easily broken in battle.

How you would use it in battle:
I would use this technique in combination with a clone. After the clone goes and attacks the opponent and while the opponent is busy fighting the clone, I send my chakra into his brain and then use this advantage to attack him.

How you would counter it:
I would do the usual stuff. Bite my lip or any part of the body to break free after I have realized that I am in a Gnejutsu.

How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):
I mold my charka throughout my body. Once I have enough charka I focus in on my target and make eye contact. I than make two hand seals. I release my charka into my opponent brain. This causes him to see a swirl of leaves and also his worst nightmare.

I think the technique itself gives it away. I mean, the handseals and then the swirl, and after the swirl the nightmare. I guess pretty much it would be obvious that it is a genjutsu.

(Kori Shinchū no Jutsu) - Sly Mind Affect Technique

Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.

Okay so this technique can only work on an already moving target, one you insert your chakra into their brain, they will think they are moving in a straight line, but really they are going in circles, this gen will make them move all the time, and if you are able to pull this off, the target will be exhausted in a few short hours. Range is neat too.
