Okay so I've been watching Bleach online for a while with subs instead of dubs. I was just flipping through the channels and saw that bleach was on so I put it on. My first impression.......everyone has ridiculous voices......its almost unbearable!

lolz. it's kind of true. but there are a lot of anime where characters have extremely ridiculous english voices.

Alright one thing you guys aren't realizing is that they can't meet everyones expectations for the voices of the characters and the reason they go with the ones they have is because they believe they are the best suited for that character.

Like Grimmjow since he is like Ichigo they had to go with a loud, arrogant bull headed voice similar to Ichigo's

All I have seen from people on here left and right and right and left is whine about how they hate the dubbed versions if you hate it then dont watch it stick to the subbed and the Raw's. But there are also others who like watching the anime in voices they can understand and don't have to read while trying to watch the show. Thats why they have the dubbed versions of the anime.

Dubbed anime always sucked in my opinion, i only watch them with subbs.

First thought will always be that English dubs suck.. but take into account that they need to adapt to the movement of the animes otherwise animated for japanese voices, and that they have to compete with Japanese Seiyū.. that are just genuinely fantastic at what they do..

I agree, though.. I get embarrassed every time i watch an anime with anything else than japanese dubbing.. except perhaps Digimon and Pokemon cause they had sentimental values for when i was a kid.

Don't the Japanese animator teams working on a certain Manga consult with the author before casting voice actors? They need to ask him how he imagined their voices to be like and then hire voice actors after that.

ok the message confuses me do you normally watch sub or dub since in my opinion i can't stand dub especially when they sound so cute in the japanese version and in they just repeat voices in all the anime so one actor is actually in three or four anime that is so not cool

You wouldnt feel that way if you started watching that anime in english from the begining then you would feel just the opossite on japanese languge i just started watching DB GT dubbed and i think its cool because i havent watched it in the original voice so it just depents on which voice you got used to

oh gosh! Filo dubs are the worst!!!!

i can watch any anime in Eng but not Filo!!!

even tho its mah native tongue, i hate it!!

but yeah, i'd prefer jap subs than eng dubs.

its not like eng dubs are horrible. its mainly coz im used to jap subs. im used to it now and i find it weird watchin in english. xD

but there are a few eng voice characters that sound really hawt.

like that vizard guy. his english voice sounded really really sexy. xD
