Is it just me or are the english subs just way better than the english dubs. To me, the Japanese language is amazing. Different titles and ways to express yourself. But to me the english dubs and so crappy. They don't capture the essence of the Japanese language.

Tell me what you think below... :hint:

English sub.

I used to watch english dub, but realized that sub is so far ahead. I had no choice but watch subs and got used to it pretty fast. When I watch dubbed, it actually sounds like crap now.

Can't stand Naruto's english voice. That and the whole Believe It! thing. Hate it with all my hate.

Not this senseless argument again.....
It all depends on the voice actors Deathnote was done pretty well in English dub.

Dub is good for what it is, since they are trying to translate Japanese lines that are really long and when dubbed in English are shortened if you want an accurate translation. It causes them to over exaggerate to match the lip flaps. As for the "Believe it!" line, Naruto doesn't say that anymore, it had something to do with it being mistranslated.

The sub is further ahead in story, but once the dub catches up, I don't mind watching both.

I can't stand hearing little weeaboo arguments about how the sub is better than the dub. I prefer dub because I speak English. That's just me and I don't have anything against subs, but don't tell me that the sub is better based on some biased observation because it's preference. Honestly, if the person doesn't actually speak the Japanese language, I give little thought to their assertions concerning dubs and subs. And you can't tell me its better for series like Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop. I mean, I'll respect your opinion for what it is and all...

Dubs are litterally the only time I enjoy anime.Subs are annoying in every aspect.

But it all depends on where you stand

I prefer Dubs unless I can't stand them. That is quite rare.

Then If it's a sub and I hate the voices, I'm in a stalemate.

I can't multitask with subs.

But for some reason, after watching the subs(as they're way far ahead due to being the original audio), the Dub sounds off.

I hate that feeling.

The dub is goddamn fine.

I actually prefer the dub in part 1 Naruto, Shippuden though, eh- it takes a while for the voices to fit in. Sakura and Naruto's are the worst- which is the major reason why everyone hates the english dub.

I used to watch the dubbed eps until I ran out of episodes. I had never watched a English sub before and at first I thought it sounded awkward, but after 1 episode I got used to it and started appreciating the Japanese language.

And now when I hear a Naruto episode in dub, it just sounds wrong :p.

The Japanese voices that have been used in naruto / bleach and many more anime are so well chosen, how is it possible to dislike something like that? o_O
The original language is always the best.
