How stupid of me that I never thought about that lightning travels in different speeds in the OP world. How could I forget. Also I'm not the one saying you can dodge it without certain abilities (CoO for instance) you're putting those words in my mouth. Third, I might give you breaking the speed of sound, but in another thread you were talking about mach 100, which is 100 times the speed of sound.

Yea I know right, I must be the stupid one. It's pretty sad how you can make a fool of yourself in 2 threads with just a couple of posts. Maybe the electricity in your brain is slower than usual.

Hey, fact of the matter remains that you jumped at the throats of people who said there are characters who are faster than sound, now what you're saying is that any character who's above Kalifa should be able to counter and dodge something that moves multiple times faster than the speed of sound. The gif was because your train of thought doesn't follow the same track, your shit doesn't add up. Either there's lightning that moves at different speeds, which would make you wrong in this thread, or Kalifa and over can reach the speed of just shy of 4000 miles per second, which makes you wrong in the speed of sound thread. You were the one defending LitzSabers statements after he said Luffy moved at mach 100, which is 100 times the speed of sound. But apperently there is no range because as soon as I say he might be moving at the speed of sound I'm suddenly all in in the realm of idiots.

100 times the speed of sound is 30x the speed of a fighter jet, those are bullshit numbers.

Besides I said about 10 times now. I don't believe that Oda is sitting at home thinking about character speeds when he is making the story.

If Luffy dodges lightning it doesn't mean he is faster than lightning it means that Luffy is "fast" Because in the next chapter Luffy still needs to be able to take a punch, and no the battles are not all in lightning speed.

Terms like faster than sound, lightning and even light don't fit in a manga discussion. You just have fast and faster. Or strong and stronger.

*For one, it's not that farfetched to say that bolts of lightning can vary in speed. Look up Bruce Steo and what he has to say about lightning. No one would deny that Ace and Sabo's fire are stronger and faster, therefore harder to counter, than Usopp's slingshot fire. No one would deny the same about Kizaru's lasers and Pacifista's lasers. Please, what's more laughable is anyone believing Nami's lightning is anywhere near the level of pure lightning from one of the strongest Devil Fruits in any way.

Of course, the limitations and abilities between OP characters and real humans are as different as night and day, but still, it shows that the speed of one's body while punching and kicking and delivering attacks can be vastly above their traveling speed. I don't care what you have to say, Overheat transversed over 3 KM in a second, that's faster than sound. But I digress.

It's incredible that you really don't get, and you keep popping up strange facts that don't have anything to do with the conversation.

I agree that Nami's lightning is not as strong as Enel's but that has all to do with the strength of the electricity and not with the speed.

You were talking about dodging and suddenly combat speed is meassured in the world's fastest punch, I didn't care about the difference in combat speed and movement speed in the first place. That's something you made up. I only said "If Luffy is so fast according to you why does he always spend 15 chapters running." Which is a pretty valid question if you claim people move at the speed of sound. Even if he moved at a fraction of that he would reach places in no time.

Thank you for pointing out those posts but you started butting in the conversation at your first post. So the rest isn't neccesary.

And for somehow it doesn't reach that peanut brain of yours that you just cant compare real life physics with manga events.

If Luffy fights a lightning man the one day and is able to dodge him his attacks for whatever reason. That doesn't make him faster than lightning. Because in the next chapter the author still needs Luffy to be slow enough to get punched in the face, or run towards the plateau for 15 chapters.

Speed and strength are temporary and you have to judge every fight on it's own. Of course there are base levels where Luffy shows growth, because part 1 Luffy isn't part 2 Luffy,

But to pick out his fastest moments and claim that he is a certain speed is just stupid. If people say that Luffy dodged a liquid explosion and therefor must be mach 100 then it's hopeless to debate.

People are perfectly capable of watching fights on monitors or in arena's without them dissapearing or unable to track them with their eyes. This isn't DBZ. If Luffy needs to dodge a light speed kick from Kizaru next chapter, he will. If he gets punched in the face by a magma fist the next he also will. Doesn't make him faster than light or slower than magma.

Enel (pre-skip) gets low to mid, assuming enel will try and do cqc vs sanji
Enel (pre-skip) gets low to mid, assuming enel does long distance and sanji is fast enough to traverse that distance and hit him
Enel (pre-skip) gets mid to high, depending on how much tanking abiity sanji can take, enel is still using lightning lol, if people are afraid of falling out of the sky, falling off a mountain, POST TIME SKIP, then im dam sure lightning can do damage.
