When Sasuke was young I doubt that what Jman would say to him would get through. Later on he was consumed by hatred. Itachi managed to break that and Hasmirama deliverd the final TNJ.

Suske never had a real great time with Jiraiya... I'm not saying that Jiraiya didn't say it first in the time of suske and naruto but really in this case he's dead.
