Hello there.
Today I present you the first chapter of my first writing project XD I wanted to do a one-shot, but my mind didn't let me. I'm still not sure about how many chapters will take me this one but enjoy. I like to write short chapters, since it easier to keep my focus...however if you feel it's a drawback, let me know!
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
-Ah!-she sighed, feeling slightly irritated.
Slowly she turned her eyes towards the room she was in. Opposite to her position was the only door, next to the left a messy desk full of unsteady piles of books, mounds of wrapped paper and other various items. About one meter in front of the desk there was an equally untidy bed, above of the which little hills of clothes mixed the clean and dirty ones.
Sitting on a stool chair, April contemplated what looked as an utter annoyance. "Don't leave for tomorrow what you can do today, they say, but I'm not going to die if this situation extends a little longer" she considered as she grabbed a jacket found on the superficial layers of clothing on the bed.
Walking out slowly, almost dragging her feet, she looked up to the sky. It was full of dark opaque clouds that would barely let some weak beams of light go through. It was drizzling and windy, the air was feeling very humid. Such weather was expected to last at least three or four days more.
-Ah! I hate being wet -April muttered as she made her way out the apartment complex she lived in.
Then another of her pointless walks started. Wandering for what could be an eternity, she lost track of time. "What on the Earth are you looking for?"
At some point she reached a tiny shabby park: it was all muddy, covered in garbage, exhibiting pathetic wounds in a broken slide and a rickety swing frame. Usually she wouldn't look at it for long, usually she would feel disgusted by such sight but today something sparked her attention: sitting on one of the benches, there was a tall man of short dark brown hair and almond-shaped hazel eyes. The stranger was wearing a white immaculate raincoat and black flannel trousers. His pose was rather relaxed, with an unsettling smirk on his face.
-Oh! You have finally arrived. Well done. But…it took you quite a while, don't you think?
Having a very bad hunch, April continued her march, as she didn't hear anything at all.
-Geez!- the stranger exclaimed- You're quite the hard to get, aren't you?- A small mischievous tone could be noticed in his voice.
Snorting, April inquired:
-What's your business?-the regret for such question appeared almost immediately.
-Ho! The intel was right. Although fortunately there is no way this could go wrong. -he said while grabbing a fifteen-centimeter metallic pole from his raincoat.- It was nice to meet you.
Right after he pronounced those words, April felt surrounded by a burning and electrifying air. It felt as it was draining all her strength, her limbs were shaking and a sharp pain inundated her body, paralyzing her, making her fall to the ground."What the hell…?" was her last conscious thought.
To be continued.
Any feedback will be much appreciated.
Endless
I. Bored?
April was staring out of the window. Her eyes were fixed on the infinite, on the endless possibilities, all the joy and drama she could live! I. Bored?
